Second Round of ST3 Recruitment Scheduled
15-Jul-2010With the closure of the first round proper and its subsequent stages of clearing & LAT recruitment, a second round of recruitment to 2010 posts within RCP-hosted ST3 specialties has been scheduled.
Where deaneries/specialties require it, a repeat of the national recruitment process will take place, to identify and recruit eligible and suitable candidates to vacant, substantive ST3-level posts. This will be via the same process as in Round 1 - candidates will complete a new application form via the online application system, attend interview at preferenced deanery where invited, and then be offered a post on the strength of their application and performance at interview.
Rounds 1 & 2 will be regarded as entirely separate from and independent of each other. Therefore, a candidate does not need to have applied in R1 to be considered in R2.
However, if a candidate has applied in R1, they will need to apply again in R2 if they wish to be considered again. Similarly, their R1 application will not be taken into account, and recruiters/interviewers will not be made aware (unless the candidate does so) that the candidate has applied in R1.
More information will be added to this website shortly regarding the various aspects of the Round 2 recruitment process; however in the meantime, please note that candidates will be able to access, complete and submit the R2 application form (via this website) from 9.00 am on Friday 27 August 2010.
The deadline for all applications to be completed and submitted will be 12.00 midday (BST) on Monday 13 September 2010.
Please note that at present these dates are not 100% confirmed, and may be subject to change.
