Evidence Folder
In addition to documentation proving their eligibility, it is necessary for each candidate to also provide documentation to back up all claims made within their application form - such as prizes, achievements, publications, etc.
Please note that it is not necessary for candidates to include photocopies of documents in their Evidence Folder. Only the original versions of documents are required, as these will not be retained by the deanery; they will be reviewed and then returned to candidates.
Candidates should include the following in this folder:
1. Completed Evidence Summary Form (ESF)
The ESF is a list detailing all documents included in a candidate's evidence folder, and their location. This allows recruiters to find and view each document quickly and easily. This should be the first page included in the folder, and should include every document included in the evidence folder.
It also acts as a checklist. When reviewing the evidence folder, recruiters will tick off each item on the ESF as it is found and seen. Then once this is complete, they will sign the ESF and retain it as record that the evidence folder was acceptable.
2. Evidence required in support of the application form
Any and all claims made on a candidate's application form (eg any qualifications they have received, publications published, achievements earned, etc.) need to be supported by a piece of evidence which can be verified by recruiters at interview.
Candidates should include each piece of evidence in the folder in the order in which it appears on their application form.
The evidence folder and its contents (minus the ESF) will be returned to the candidate either during, or at the end of, their interview.
Other documentation
Some deaneries may require that candidates bring additional evidence beyond that described above. In this case, deaneries will notify candidates of this in advance.
