This section of the website will contain documents to support the applications of candidates wishing to apply to ST3 posts in 2010, in the five RCP-hosted specialties participating in co-ordinated recruitment.

More documents will be added shortly, and will include a comprehensive Applicants' Guide, describing all aspects of the process from initial consideration of application, through completing and submitting the application form, interviews and post offers.

1 - 2010 ST3 Applicants' Guide - Round 2 (PDF, 756kb)

This document contains comprehensive information on all aspects and sections of the process of recruitment to ST3 posts in the RCP-hosted specialties of Cardiology, Endocrinology & Diabetes, Gastroenterology, Geriatric Medicine and Renal Medicine in Round 2.

The latest version (v1.0) of the guide was published 16-08-10.

2 - Certificate C CMT competency (Word, 244kb)

Candidates who have previously undertaken SHO or CMT-level training (which may have been in training or non-training posts), but do not have adequate proof of training (i.e. ARCP, or a RITA, or Educational / Clinical Supervisors reports) , can use 'Certificate C'. This certificate must be completed by someone who has supervised you for a period of three months or more, and who can attest to your achievement of CMT-level competencies. This will support your claims to Core Medical competencies.

3 - ST3 Structured Reference Form (Word, 138kb)

Form for completion of references in 2010 ST3 recruitment. This form is for use by the RCP-hosted ST3 specialties. It may also be used for other medical ST3 specialties. If candidates &/or recruiters forward it to referees, please ensure the candidate and application details are completed, together with the address for return of the reference.

4 - Evidence Summary Form (Word, 50kb)

Applicants need to bring to interview any evidence they have quoted on their application forms, inside an 'Evidence Folder' containing the necessary documents. This evidence summary form is designed to sit at the front of the folder and act as a checklist
